When chasing pussy loses its power over you …

Have you been chasing pussy? Keeping track of your “numbers” and comparing them to other guys.

Have you signed up for yet another boot camp (or maybe you are teaching yet another boot camp), on the prowl once again for yet another woman. Maybe this time it will finally fill the aching need inside for completion.

Mark my words, there will come a day …

… when chasing pussy loses its power over you. When nobody can get you to go out once again and chase it.

There will come a day when meditating at home holds more appeal than chasing pussy. And that will be the first day of your freedom.

Remember in the movie the Matrix when Neo gets distracted by the woman in the red dress? He almost gets himself killed, and she turns out to be nothing more than a complex series of computer code.

That’s what men are doing when they chase pussy. They are slaves to a bunch of meaningless computer programming that steals their freedom and their joy. It’s the same for any of us who chase anything outside of ourselves.

No matter what it is, when we chase an idol outside of ourselves, thinking it will give us happiness, we get on the hamster wheel of addiction:

We can be on the hamster wheel about anything external. Women chasing marriage and children is no different than men chasing sex (see yesterday’s article for an example).

We can chase money, we can chase love, we can chase approval, we can chase status symbols. We can chase having the “perfect body.” We can chase sex. If it exists in the world, we can chase it, and thereby lose sight of Who We Really Are.

What I love about the art of manifestation that I teach with Holistic Belief Reprogramming is that it does not involve any chasing. It’s not a hamster wheel. When we manifest what we want out of our imagination, we are remembering Who We Truly Are. We are recognizing our Oneness with our desires.

The difference is in how it feels. Chasing pussy or anything else feels exhausting, unsatisfying. As soon as one notch is cut in the belt, another is needed to prop up the flimsy self-esteem. Run, run, run on the hamster wheel.

Manifesting what we want and need out of our being feels quiet and satisfying. As we get better at it, it becomes easier and more restful.

One way to feel the difference is whether it’s at the level of the head (which involves a lot of thinking and strategizing and feels frenetic and loud), or whether it’s coming from the level of our innermost being (which involves more feeling and intuition and is quiet and peaceful).

So when you feel exhausted and unsatisfied by the constant search for pussy (or anything else), please realize that there is an alternative. As A Course in Miracles teaches, idols will always fail to satisfy because they cheat you out of discovering your Divine Reality. Whereas that which is given you by God and comes through the quiet returning to God that I teach in Holistic Belief Reprogramming will quench your thirst and quiet your hunger and return you to your birthright: everlasting peace.

This probably won’t happen overnight because we have years of crappy conditioning to unravel before you can rest in God. But with commitment, it will happen. And you can finally step off the hamster wheel you’ve been on since birth. Permanently.

Love,

Interesting, I agree. Actually I have written a similar article almost a year ago. The thing is that we have been conditioned to want a fantasy image, in movies, books, and of course marketing! But as you say, this is not satisfying. However, I think there could be a better approach to this “chasing” without having to sit at home. And this approach is knowing exactly what you want form the inside (for example having a partner to build a family with, or to share your deepest values with etc). Once there i a clear image of it in your heart (as opposed to head, this is where the chasing stops in my opinion.

Erika, I wanted to thank you for pointing out the Matrix reference! I never saw that aspect of the woman in the Red Dress. I rewatched the movie with that in mind and found a deeper lesson as well!

    1. The character “Mouse” is the one who created the Woman in Red. His character is generally weak, unable to hold eye contact with Neo, and emasculated. His only advice to Neo is to attempt to pull him into further seduction with the Woman in Red.
    2. When re-entering the Matrix for the first time, Neo’s team is compromised. Mouse was again distracted from his mission by a picture of the Woman in the Red Dress. Had he been paying attention, he might have noticed when the agents created the trap around them all.
    3. When Mouse’s fate arrives, he unleashes two very large guns, representing the false vibrato and machismo lesser men often idolize. He does no good with these huge weapons, and is the first member of the team to die. He also dies alone.
    4. Trinity represents the proper role of the feminine in the hero’s call. She is placed within Neo’s path, and walks it with him, but never distracts. She fulfills the hero journey, and, in the end, provides the catalyst for completion of Neo’s transformation. She always understands that Neo must give his gift fully to the world, and she must serve that higher purpose.

Just a musing. Or a muse. Or just amusing.
